HONG KONG: Hong Kong rock band Beyond's drummer Yip Sai Wing, announced through his management company on Saturday that he will be marrying his girlfriend on Tuesday, reported Hong Kong media.
"Mr Yip Sai Wing's marriage ceremony will be held on December 27," Yip's management company said in a statement, adding on Monday that the event "will be a closed-door affair" as the couple preferred to keep things low-key.
Although this is technically Yip Sai Wing's first marriage, the 48-year-old musician had been 'married' once before - Yip held a 'ghost marriage' with his girlfriend of seven years Cynthia Xu after she passed away in 2002.
Yip isn't the only member of Beyond with good news to share.
Beyond bass player Steve Wong, the younger brother of late Beyond front man Wong Ka Kui, announced earlier this year that his wife is expecting their second child.
Beyond lead guitarist Paul Wong also hinted recently that he has plans to marry his actress girlfriend Athena Chu.
Beyond was one of the most influential Cantonese rock bands in Hong Kong, producing hit songs like "Boundless Oceans Vast Skies" and "Glorious Years".
Following lead singer Wong Ka Kui's death in 1993 after a stage accident, the remaining members of Beyond - Steve Wong, Paul Wong and Yip - continued to release albums before disbanding in 2005, after a final concert in Singapore.

TAIPEI: Taiwan singer Jolin Tsai said during a music awards ceremony on Thursday that she didn't really mind being stalked by the paparazzi, but hoped the tabloids they worked for could "print better-looking photos" of her, reported Taiwan media.

"I am personally more particular about whether it (the photos) looks good or not," said Tsai.
"Print better-looking photos!"
Tsai went on to reveal that she would spend Christmas and New Year's Eve with her female friends and quipped that the paparazzi "can go on holiday over the New Year".
