UK C-POP FANS: NEWSPAPER FEATURE

Hi there

I'm the rock and pop writer of The Guardian newspaper in London, and I'm currently working on a feature called "The Secret Soundtrack Of Britain", about the music that never actually makes the charts, but that's popular with various different ethnic communities that live here. I'm really interested in C-pop, J-pop and so on (although I know next to nothing about it!), and I need your help. I was wondering how big Cpop (or Jpop or Kpop!) is with the Chinese/East Asian community in Britain? Is it really popular? Do the artists sell a lot of CDs? Do they ever play over here? Are there any Cpop clubs or club nights, in London or elsewhere?

I'd really like to include something in the feature about it, so your help would be hugely appreciated!
